The unit circle
The unit circle is a circle with a radius of 1 unit, centered at the origin of a coordinate plane. It is used to define the values of the trigonometric functions sine, cosine, and tangent for every angle in degrees or radians. The unit circle is used to find the coordinates of points on the circumference of the circle, given an angle measure, which can then be used to evaluate trigonometric expressions.
